Airplane hangman

Tally the bogey.
Call it by name.

Hangar 6 is hangman, but for aircraft. Call letters to get a visual on the bogey and make the ID before your track breaks— 942 airframes in the fleet, from the Spitfire to designations only a test pilot would recognize.

The intercept

How a sortie flies

  1. 01

    Scramble

Pick your sortie. Your rank sets how deep in the fleet the bogey hides — and whether you fly with the aircraft type and a cryptic hint on the HUD.

  2. 02

    Call

Call letters. Every hit flips a piece of the bogey’s name onto the board; every miss burns a round of ammo and degrades your track a step.

  3. 03

    Splash

Make the ID before the track breaks. Six misses and the bogey slips away; call it clean and it’s splash one — return to base.

Pick your fight

From Nugget to Ace

Four tiers, one hangar. Start with the icons every spotter can call on sight — end with the entire fleet in the dark: no type, no hint, no mercy.

01 Low threat

Nugget

Icons everyone knows — the Spitfire, the 747, Concorde

02 Moderate

Wingman

Longer, trickier names — the Phantom, the Messerschmitt, the Superfortress

03 High threat

Flight Lead

Obscure designations worldwide — Tupolev, Chengdu, Savoia-Marchetti

04 Danger zone

Ace

The entire hangar — no type, no remarks. Good hunting.

Daily challenge

One shared bogey every day. The same board for every pilot — the only question is how few calls it takes you. Come back tomorrow for the next intercept.

Tiered leaderboards

Rankings split by rank — Nuggets race Nuggets; Aces are measured against Aces — plus a global board that ranks every pilot by XP. The answers never leave the server, so there's nothing to peek at.

Streaks, stats & rank

Sign in and every sortie goes in your logbook — and pays XP. Win rate, streaks, and a pilot level that climbs from Cadet to Hangar Legend, flight after flight.
